Lisa John, LMHC

At Metrowest Counseling Associates, Lisa John, LMHC, sees adults, adolescents, and couples. She takes a directive and active, yet client-centered approach to working with clients and is eclectic in her treatment techniques, including Cognitive – Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness Strategies, most often.

Lisa has experience working with anxiety, depression, mood disorders related to medical conditions, grief/loss, life transitions (divorce/relationship issues, career issues, parenting and elder caregiving challenges), trauma, and substance abuse/relapse prevention.

Lisa holds a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors in English/Creative Writing from Brown University in Providence, RI and a Masters Degree with Highest Honors in Counseling and Psychological Services from Salem State University in Salem, MA.
