Alicia is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LICSW) who holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Boston College. She has worked in residential treatment and community based settings providing individual, group and family therapies and currently works full time as a Clinical Supervisor to therapists providing services through the Child Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI).
At Metrowest Counseling, Alicia sees adolescents, adults and families who are looking for support related to self esteem and identity, relational issues/family conflicts, parenting (including adoption and foster care), life changes, trauma, grief and loss, mood and anxiety and stress management. She has been trained in and uses multiple trauma informed approaches including the ARC framework (Attachment, Regulation and Competency) and Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment.
Alicia believes therapy is an opportunity for growth, healing and increased understanding of oneself and others. She feels privileged to witness clients’ individual journeys and the sense of hope, clarity and empowerment that often develop along the way.
