Karen Blumberg is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Karen holds her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Boston College and her Masters Degree in Social Work from Simmons College School of Social Work.
Karen has practiced social work in a variety of settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, elementary and high schools.
Karen believes strongly in a strength-based approach and in the power of the therapeutic relationship to help clients work towards lasting, positive changes. Karen provides a warm, calming environment and uses a variety of treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral, mindfulness practices, self-regulation strategies, and solution-focused therapy.
Karen has worked extensively with children and families around developing strategies to manage issues of anxiety, learning disabilities, depression and stress management.
